South Wales - Not Too Shabby

Hello there

Pop your details in the following form to be kept updated with Hardstyle events in South Wales and the UK from both ourselves and others.

If you’re keen to attend or just curious, no matter where you are in the UK, register and you’ll be the in the know.

You don’t have to provide your post code, but it would help us build a picture of where everyone is so we can think about venues and transport.

We will not share or sell your details with other organisations and your details will only be used for the purposes of contacting you regarding events.

Not Too Shabby

Not Too Shabby Events was started back in 2015 and began with an event named Techno In The Woods, later we moved on to Bass In The Woods which is a student-only drum and bass event (usually with a small hardcore area bolted on!). We’re now looking to start back up and introduce new events, and Raw Base is one of those.

Here at Not Too Shabby we love the hard stuff but have mainly operated Drum and Bass events so far… we’ve been thinking about running a Hardstyle event for a number of years just never done anything about it… now, we’re potentially doing something about it.

We run people focused, immersive events and know it’s not just the music that’s important and we have taken our influences from the Hardstyle world to create experiences.  At all of our events we encourage you to make friends and create extra spaces for you to truly lose and enjoy yourself, or just get away for a bit. We aim to create the sense of unreality and unity in safety. The transport, ticketing systems, artists, food, lighting, sound, chillout areas, security and bar staff, first aiders, payment systems and your safety are all of equal importance to providing the best experiences possible.

We’re an unknown entity in the UK Hard scene, but promise we’re here with the best intentions driven by love of the harder styles.

Event Concept / Background

Those of us who love the harder styles will know just how amazing hard events can be. We have been attending Q-Dance and B2S events for over a decade and have taken influences from DefQon.1, Q-Base, Decibel, The Qontinent and more.

Although titled Raw Base, we’re not strictly going to focus on Rawstyle and will include the full spectrum of harder styles, but with a focus on modern sounds. We have an idea in the back of our minds of what Raw Base will look like, but that all depends on how keen people are.

Initially, we’re aiming for the kind of sound you’d find at Qapital, the Defqon.1 Blue stage and the Hangar at Q-Base (RIP). Longer term we’d look to bring more harder genres, to the event in additional areas, although if there’s a lot of keenness we might do that from the first event.

We will be looking for local artists to perform, if you’re interested please message our Facebook Page or email hello@rawbase.co.uk.

Transport is a key ingredient at European hard events and luckily we’re no stranger to arranging transport for our own events, we will be looking for people who can help manage coaches from various locations across South Wales and the West to make it a bit easier for everyone.

If you’d like to know more about how you can get involved, register and keep an eye on our Facebook Page.

If you have any questions or ideas, please share them with us!
